"For psychoanalysis, the symptom is not a 'disorder', it is a silenced truth that needs to be heard." -Agnes Aflalo.

Therapy can help you make meaning of your life and provide insight, growth and self compassion. Through the therapeutic process you can overcome long-standing major obstacles that get in the way of feeling genuine health, productivity, vitality and wellness and tackle short-term difficulties to achieve success.

I am certified in the advanced clinical practice of psychodynamic psychotherapy and immersed in advanced training as a candidate in psychoanalysis at the American Institute for Psychoanalysis.  My areas of specialty include female sexuality, maternal and reproductive health, pregnancy and postpartum, eating disorders, couple’s therapy, trauma, loss, life transitions, depression and anxiety.

My dual graduate degrees are in Mental Health Counseling and Health Education & Human Sexuality from New York University.

As an expert in female sexual health, I am the co-author of “A Piece of CAKE: Recipes for Female Sexual Pleasure,” a sexuality guide for women and couples.  I help women and couples overcome difficulties with communication and connection and have written extensively on female sexuality as a recognized thought leader in over 100 international publications.

As a seasoned clinician and mother of two, I have the experience to successfully treat reproductive and maternal mental health issues and to help parents cope with the early child development period.  Postpartum and pregnancy related depression and anxiety disorders affect many families and deserve effective treatment.
